Marco Trenti

AI Developer

Marco did his Master of Science in Physics at the University of Padova where he was responsible for the development, implementation and application of software for various numerical simulations. In particular, he performed Machine Learning computations on High-Performance-Computing Clusters (such as CINECA in Bologna). With his technical and computational experience, he is our expert for the hands-on implementation and software development.

Florian Schinnerling

Financial Lead

Florian was self-employed while simultaneously completing his master’s degree in Economics with a specialization in Finance at Ulm University. In his stay abroad at the Università della Svizzera italiana (CH), he acquired further knowledge in the areas of business administration, accounting, financing and investment. With his practical experience from his self-employment and his theoretical fundament, Florian will manage the business design and financial planning of our project.

Dr. Timo Felser

Project Lead

Timo received his doctoral degree in Physics with distinction from University of Padua and Saarland University. Prior to his graduation, he worked in a motorsport team, among others as team leader for frame and aerodynamics. By now, he has more than 5 years of experience in developing and applying our core technology, transferring it from the frontiers of research to an innovative application in industry. As the initiator of the project and with his experience in the areas ranging from software development over quantum physics up to project management, he is the lead of our team.

The Team

Academic advisors

Prof. Dr. Simone Montangero

Simone Montangero is a full Professor of Physics at Padova University in Italy and an Honorary Professor at Ulm University. He further is an IQOQI visiting fellow of the Austrian Academy of Science, as well as Visiting Professor at Saarland University. He has pioneered the development of Tensor Network methods for quantum technologies over a decade ago, and leads one of the most prominent research groups in that field. With his expertise and international network connections in research as well as industry, he is the ideal fit to support our project as academic advisor.

Prof. Dr. Joachim Ankerhold

Joachim Ankerhold is Vice President for Research at Ulm University and Professor of Theoretical Physics. Among other things, he heads the inter-university Centre for Integrated Quantum Science and Technology (IQST) and is spokesperson for the recently founded Competence Network Quantum Technologies Baden-Württemberg. Both projects are aimed at close cooperation with industry, resulting in a wide-meshed network of contacts with high-tech companies.  With his expertise and his industrial contacts and cooperation’s, Prof. Ankerhold will accompany the project as second academic advisor.
